Baku - Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication hosted a workshop on “Investment environment, attracting and protecting investments” presented by WB and IFC Doing Business Mission members Roberto Echandi (Leading Specialist for Private Sector), Gerlin Catangui (Chief Operations Specialist), Akhtar Mahmud (Leading Specialist for Business Regulation), Lili Begiashvili (Regional Specialist for Business Regulation) and Irina Kokaya (Head of Task Group).
Discussions were conducted on solution of the difficulties related to diversification, integrated approach to Investment environment reforms, attracting and protecting of investments, World Bank Investment Policy and the like in the event.
IFC head for Azerbaijan Aliya Azimova stated that Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication had become a platform between public and private sectors.
The workshop was attended by the representatives of the ministries, non-governmental organizations, as well as small and medium entrepreneurs.
For information, World Bank and International Finance Corporation (IFC) "Doing Business" update Mission on business environment, attracting and protecting of investments will be on a visit to Baku between 5-9 September 2016 with a view to enhancing the country’s indicators in the international economic ranking.
