Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree on some measures relating to the development of tourism. The decree was signed in connection with the implementation of the decree endorsing “Strategic road maps for the national economy and main economic sectors” from 6th December, 2016 and the order “On additional measures related to the development of tourism in Azerbaijan” from 1st September, 2016.
Accordingly to the document the Regulation and composition of the Tourism Council of Azerbaijan Republic are approved.
Moreover to ensure further enhancement of the country's tourism potential will be established the National Tourism Promotion Bureau in the form of legal entity of public law, central and local executive power bodies, proper governmental structures have received appropriate instructions to ensure and finance the activity of the Bureau.
Accordingly to the decree Culture & Tourism Minister Abulfaz Garayev is appointed as a head of the Tourism Council.
It should be noted that, the Tourism Council in Azerbaijan was established on 1st September, 2016 in accordance with the order of President Ilham Aliyev.
