Economic models of China and Azerbaijan discussed

  • The workshop on the subject "Models of Economic Development: Cases of Azerbaijan and China" was held at the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication. Vusal Gasimli, Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication delivered a speech at the seminar on strategic road maps implemented in the country and the formation of a new economic model. V. Gasymli also spoke about the role of Azerbaijan's Digital Commercial Hub, which contributed to digitization of the Great Silk Road. Zaur Gardashov, head of the Azexport portal, spoke about the cooperation between the Azexport and Alibaba portals, while also highlighting the fact that the Azexport portal was recognized as the "success story" of the Alibaba portal in recent days.

    Pei Changhong, director of the Institute of Economics of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences stressed that China's economic policy is pursued in view of global challenges. According to Pai Changhong, cooperation among scientists of both countries open opportunities for detailed study of the both economic models and mutual exchange of experience.

    During the workshop, prospects for economic cooperation between China and Azerbaijan along the Great Silk Road were also discussed. In particular, it was noted that there are ample opportunities for cooperation in the field of ICT, oil and gas, agriculture, tourism and other spheres.

    The delegation, headed by Professor Pai Changhong, Director of the Institute of Economics of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASN) also became familiar with the opportunities offered by Export Support Center "Single Window".
